STUDENTS are calling for Portsmouth to be more enterprising by inviting people to a spring enterprise fair.

Industry giants like Barclays and IBM are pitching up alongside students at Highbury College at the fair where visitors can purchase student-made products, have a go at activities and see live performances from music and drama students.

People are being invited to Highbury Campus, between 10am and 2pm tomorrow.

The fair is being organised and run by business and IT students.

Flower arrangements, bird houses and clocks made from vinyl records are some of the hand-made products that students will be selling at the fair. All profits will help to fund future student activities – both educational and fun.

Johanna Whatmore, lecturer in IT and business, said: ‘It has been a great experience for the students. They are learning practical skills in planning, managing budgets and working with businesses.’
