MARKETING students have won first prize in a national competition.

The team of five students at Portsmouth Business School won the Project RED top prize in a competition open to students across the UK.

The winning team was made up of Piotr Stankiewicz, Linzi Appleby and David Omidiran, all studying digital marketing, and Laura Smith and Tariq Williams who
study marketing and psychology.

RED is a non-profit organisation which works with brands to create new products with all profits going to an Aids charity.

The competition asks students to design new products aimed at university students and the Portsmouth team decided to focus on hand sanitisers.

They are to be awarded a cash prize and said they were satisfied to know their efforts will help to fight HIV and
Aids.
