RESEARCHERS at the University of Portsmouth are studying how digital technologies can be used to support young people in care.

Dr Wendy Powell, of the School of Creative Technologies, is working with colleagues at Kent University and two companies – Affective State and We Are Snook – on the project.

Researchers will work with local authorities and young people in care to gain an understanding of the everyday challenges faced by them and how they use technology and digital services.

They then aim to design potential new products that will support young people as they move through the care system.
