SCHOOLCHILDREN will be given more of an insight into the world of science through a number of action-packed activities in Gosport this summer.
Nick Arnold, author of popular children’s book series Horrible Science, will talk about his work at The Royal Navy Submarine Museum on August 2.
Children will then learn about pests on submarines when they dress up as mice and cockroaches on August 23. Children’s book illustrator Tony De Saulles will draw portraits of them in their costumes, which relate to the Horrible Science of Submarines book.
Nick and Tony last visited the museum for the launch of its Horrible Science exhibition in March.
The events on both days start at midday. Museum education manager Jackie Edelman said: ‘We’re really excited about having them back. They’re an inspiration to the children.’
