TICKETS are now on sale for what is set to be the biggest ever Portsmouth Schools Glee Competition inspired by the hit TV series.

The singing competition, which showcased 250 talented students when it was launched last year, will see seven schools battle for the title of best choir at the Portsmouth Guildhall on November 26.

The event was originally set to be held next month.

Taking to the stage this year will be Priory School in Southsea, Mayfield School in North End, City of Portsmouth Girls School, Portsmouth College, Crookhorn College of Technology, Portsmouth Grammar School and Miltoncross in Milton.

The Urban Vocal Group made up of 11 to 19-year-olds from Hampshire will also be performing alongside the talented youngsters on the night.

Last year’s overall winner were the Portsmouth Grammar School choir, while Priory’s Megan Lynford was crowned best soloist.
