STUDENTS from Portsmouth University will be holding an internet gardening workshop for the over-50s – and hope to learn some new skills themselves.

The aim of the class is for students to show the over-50s how to use the internet in exchange for being taught some gardening tips.

The session takes place in the studio hall of the John Pounds Centre, in Queen Street, Portsea.

The hall will be filled with plant pots, seeds, plants and soil.

People are invited to go along to either take part, observe or ask questions.

Activities that will be going on will be potting, planting and researching gardening tips and methods.

The workshop takes place on Thursday, February 24, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Participants will also be able to their newly-planted items away with them.

Booking is not necessary.
