STAFF and pupils at a primary school in Titchfield Common are celebrating a glowing report in their latest church inspection.

St John the Baptist CoE Primary was praised for its strong pastoral system which tailors to each child and gives them the best chance of learning.

The church inspector also highlighted the school’s inclusive atmosphere, strong links with parents and the community, and head Eileen Merriman’s vision ‘to continually challenge and move the school forward based on strong Christian principles’.

Mrs Merriman said: ‘We’re extremely pleased this inspection has recognised the significant progress we have made to ensure all our children are achieving their very best in an environment that both supports and encourages them.

‘We believe our Christian ethos creates an excellent foundation for the children.’
