FIREMAN Sam will launch a fun day out for young families at a nursery in Cosham to help raise money for people in need throughout The News area.

The event at Tops Day Nursery at the Queen Alexandra Hospital takes place on Saturday from 11am until 2pm and promises to keep everyone entertained.

There will be a range of arts and crafts stalls and activities including face painting, a treasure hunt in the beach garden, puppet making, dance performances and football.

Raffle prizes include family trips to exciting theme parks such as Birdworld.

Deputy manager Jade Missing said: ‘This is going to be a great day for the whole community to enjoy and I hope the turnout is good.’

Entry costs £1 per family (two adults and three children). All money will be donated to the Hadland Foundation care group that offers care for people of all ages.
