DOZENS of colourful sculptures inspired by the sounds of the Historic Dockyard wowed more than 300 visitors to Buckland Community Centre.
Commotion in the Ocean, which displayed artworks by 90 Newbridge Junior and Manor Infant schoolkids, was a big hit.
The free event, which formed part of the Sea Life Roadshow, organised by The National Museum of the Royal Navy, aimed to give people a flavour of the attractions at the dockyard.
Jo Valentine, the museum’s community engagement officer, said: ‘The day was a fantastic success and everyone was blown away by the artwork. The children had some great ideas and it was lovely to see a range of imaginative interpretations.’
