A RESEARCHER from the University of Portsmouth has won an award.

Dr Siobhan Watkins from the School of Biological Sciences won the Heatley-Payne Award from the Society for General Microbiology.

She will present at the American Society for Microbiology annual conference in Denver, Colorado, in May. She will also spend three weeks at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology in Baltimore, Maryland.
