A UNIVERSITY has announced that it is establishing and operating a trust for academies.

The University of Chichester has launched its Chichester Academy Trust, which will look after 30 to 40 sponsored and converted academies.

It will be based in Bognor Regis and headed by director of academies and chief executive officer Dr Alan McMurdo.

He said: ‘Every academy will be different, with a distinct identity and a unique set of strengths and needs.

‘We will support every school, and they will support each other, to make sure that every pupil receives an excellent education.’
