A BOOK written by two Portsmouth Business School academics is the first e-book to be sold online through professional body the Chartered Institute of Professional Development.

Gary Rees is a principal lecturer in human resource management and MBA Director, and Ray French is principal lecturer in organisational behaviour and Associate Head of Subject.

Their book, Leading, Managing and Developing People, a textbook for postgraduate level students, is now in its third edition.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development is the world’s largest professional association for the development of human resource management professionals.

It is based in London and has 135,000 members and Mr Rees’ and Mr French’s book was the first title sold when it launched its e-book store this year.
