University ranks high in annual student poll

PORTSMOUTH’S university is in the top 30 nationwide for quality of student life.

An annual survey run by Lloyds Bank looks at institutions across the country and compares course satisfaction, housing costs, employment and earning of graduates and social life.

The University of Portsmouth earned 26th place in this year’s poll.

Loughborough University took the top slot, followed by Bath and then Durham.

Dundee has the cheapest shops, bars and other amenities, Manchester has the most pubs and bars and the areas around the universities of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon had the lowest crime rates.
