TUTORS from the University of Chichester are in the running for a national award after being named among the best in the country by students.
The university has been short-listed for most improved student experience at a competition led by the Times Higher Education magazine.
A poll from the National Student Survey showed the students were among the happiest in the south.
University deputy vice-chancellor Dr Sarah Gilroy said: ‘To be short-listed for this award is great recognition for the sustained hard work academic and professional colleagues have put in to ensure our students have an outstanding experience.
‘We have always ranked very highly in the National Student Survey, however, this year nearly nine out of 10 undergraduates were overall satisfied with their course, which is an incredible achievement.’
