POTENTIAL Formula 1 stars of the future will be lining up at HMS Excellent in a bid to race for Portsmouth at the Goodwood race circuit, on March 10.

Teams from City of Portsmouth Girls, St John’s College in Southsea, Wickham and Portsdown primaries who have built their own battery -powered kit car – will be put through their paces at the Greenpower sponsored Gathering of Goblins challenge on March 10.

Greenpower is now appealing for volunteers aged 16 or over on the day.

Volunteer manager Mike Howell said: ‘We are looking for help to run a brilliant day of car racing for children in Portsmouth.’

Anyone interested in volunteering should call Mike on 01243 552 305 or email mike@greenpower.co.uk
