It is understood that the Waterloo School in Warfield Avenue, Waterlooville is suffering staff shortages due to an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea.

A statement on the school’s website last night read: ‘Unfortunately, due to staff sickness The Waterloo School is unable to open on Friday 5 December 2014.

‘We apologise for any inconvenience caused.’
