MILLIONS of pounds will be spent on schools across West Sussex, the county council has announced.

Capital investment worth £9.5m will be spent on dozens of schools in need of new buildings and maintenance projects including heating, roof and window replacements.

Peter Griffiths, county council cabinet member for education and schools, said: ‘I am pleased that such a significant sum of money is being invested in major projects and also a series of badly-needed maintenance schemes for a large number of our schools.’
