CHILDREN at a nursery have been learning about healthy eating.
Staff at Kiddi Caru’s Whiteley day nursery organised a day of activities dedicated to teaching them about foods that are good for you.
As well as visiting a shop to pick up vegetables to make their own homemade soup, the children made fruit smoothies and created an indoor vegetable patch.
Lisa MacLennan, nursery manager, said: ‘It’s never too early to start teaching children about which foods are good for you and which ones are not, as it equips them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about what to eat as they grow older.
‘These kinds of activities give the children a real insight into how fruits and vegetables can be used to make lots of different types of tasty meals.’
