THE astonishing story of a woman who was brought back to life after being trapped under ice is being told at a lecture.

Anna Bagenholm will visit the University of Portsmouth to speak about how she technically died after being stuck under ice while skiing with friends.

But, thanks to medical staff and others, she was brought back to life five hours after being pulled from the water.

Since the incident, which took place in 1999 when she was 29 years old, Anna’s story has been told in books and in medical reports.

The Department of Sport and Exercise Science at the university has invited Anna to hold the lecture on March 27.

It starts at 6pm and is free.

It is being held in the Park Building, on King Henry I Street, Portsmouth.
