CHILDREN enjoyed a taste of Italy this week during a visit to an Italian restaurant.
The 2nd Bishop’s Waltham Brownies enjoyed three nights of pizza and dessert-making at Piccola Roma in the village.
Each night 10 Brownies came in to make pizzas with Geoff Blyth, the pizza chef at Piccola Roma, who has been making them for 40 years.
After making the pizzas the Brownies stayed to eat all of their pizzas with the staff, and then they made desserts.
The restaurant holds nights like this once a term, having had more than 150 Brownies, Scouts and Guides since they started, with another batch of Scouts due to come in May.
Charlie Anzano, the owner of Piccola Roma, said: ‘They’re always very well behaved and it’s a fun evening for them and for us.
‘We do it because it’s nice to do something for the local community.’
