Youngsters ready to learn more about science subjects at fair

YOUNGSTERS will learn more about jobs in technology and engineering.

The Education Business Partnership Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Fair, hosted by Fareham College and St Vincent College takes place next week.

The joint venture will welcome nearly 800 young people ranging from nine to 16 years from schools from across the area, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Local organisations and companies will present activities which give young people hands-on experience of the diversity that Stem can offer, both in industry and in life.

Project manager at EBP Jacquie Jones said: ‘The Stem Fair is a chance to see how these important subjects are relevant to future careers and our everyday lives.

‘Everything is aimed at encouraging young people to enjoy Stem subjects, and to be inspired for their own futures.’
