Police are preparing a report for the coroner after a man was killed by a train at Emsworth.
Officers say they are not treating the death as suspicious.
The victim was struck by a train on the track close to Emsworth railway station just after 11am on Sunday.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: ‘BTP officers were called to the line close to Emsworth Railway Station on May 3, after a report that a man had been struck by a train.
‘Officers from BTP and Hampshire police attended the incident, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
‘Medics also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
‘A file will be prepared for HM Coroner.’
Rail services were subject to lengthy delays and cancellations, with replacement bus services in place.
Commuters were advised to find alternative routes.
