TRAFFIC congestion in a narrow street has put paid to car boot sales.

Officials at St Joseph’s Church, in West Street, Havant, have decided that no more car boot sales will be held there.

Father Leslie Adams, parish priest, said: ‘It has been decided that due to increased traffic congestion in the local vicinity and out of consideration for our neighbours there will be no more car boot sales at St Joseph’s Church.

‘We would like to thank all those who have supported this venture, both stallholders and visitors, and wish them well in the future.’
