SCOUT leader Ashley Wilson is gearing up for his attempt to row 3,600 miles across the Indian Ocean.
The 36-year-old from Wickham, who suffers from epilepsy and has overcome cancer, has been practising in Canary Wharf in London with his rowing partner James Ketchell.
James is one of Hampshire’s Scouting Ambassadors and also an intrepid adventurer. The pair met at a Scout meeting and they will set off in April to raise money for the Scouts, as well as charities Young Epilepsy and The Elifar Foundation.
