CLIMATE change and charity work in Africa will be the focus of an upcoming event.

Portsmouth’s Oxfam Action Group is hosting the event at the Cathedral Discovery Centre in Bishop Crispian Way.

Oxfam campaigns co-ordinator Kelly Munday will give an illustrated presentation on her visit to Malawi, where she visited Oxfam charity projects.

Ms Munday will discuss the effects of climate change on that country.

There will then be a screening of a film about climate change.

Stalls selling Christmas gifts, supper and a raffle will also be part of the event.

Organiser Owen Plunkett said: ‘This is an annual event that we hold at the Discovery Centre. We have always attracted a good audience who enjoy a varied programme and a delicious supper.’

The event will be on Friday, November 27 starting at 6.45pm.

For tickets – £19 or £5 for students – call (023) 9225 4959 or e-mail owen.plunkett@talktalk.net.
