The final preparations are being made for the Big Blue Do which takes place at the Wedgewood Rooms in Albert Road tomorrow.

The Big Blue Do is a charity concert performed by local bands, in a bid to raise cash for Blue Day.

Kojak’s Revenge will headline, and The Phantom, Danny Wright, Days of Speed and Reactor 1 will also take to the stage.

Doors open at 7.30pm tomorrow. Tickets cost £6 each with most of the cash raised going towards Blue Day.

The event is open to all, but under-14s must be accompanied by an adult

· Meanwhile, spaces are still available for the Big Blue Walk which is scheduled to take place on Friday at 6pm.

It is a one-and-a-half mile walk along Southsea seafront.

· Staff and students at Portsmouth College will be wearing blue wigs and having their faces painted blue.

· Children at Gomer Infant School in Gosport and Wimborne Junior School in Southsea will also dress in blue.
