A SUMMER fair has been given an exclusive location for its first event.

Former organiser of the Thumbs Up Pompey Car Boot, which was held at the Fratton Park car park, has arranged for a new event to be held in Southsea.

Tony Kimber has set up Southsea Bubble, a fair with stalls full of arts and crafts, antiques, collectibles, confectionary and much more.

The stalls will be set up in a location given to Tony exclusively by Portsmouth City Council.

Tony said: ‘I was given permission to hold Southsea Bubble between South Parade Pier and the turning towards Canoe Lake, also known as Speaker’s Corner.

‘This is the first time stalls have been set up along this part of Southsea and I’m looking forward to it.

‘We have got items from companies from around Hampshire so it should make for a good collection.

The event is being held this bank holiday weekend, both tomorrow and Monday.

The stalls will open at 10am and close at 5.30pm.
