AN exhibition exploring how people have experienced growing up in Petersfield opens to the public next week.

It is entitled ‘Being Young in Petersfield’ and looks at people’s experiences over the last century.

The exhibition, at Petersfield Museum, opens on Tuesday and runs until September 12.

This exhibition explores how being a young person in a small town has changed over the last century, while highlighting today’s concerns and interests of young people.

Among the displays will be profiles of local residents describing their experiences of growing up, and sharing memories of being young in Petersfield.

School life is also a key feature, with objects featured from the various schools around the Petersfield area.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. An entry fee applies to adults but it is free for children.
