FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a false alarm.

An alert had been raised after a concerned member of the public spotted smoke.

But when a crew from Southsea fire station arrived at Nessus Street, Buckland at 8.55pm on Friday, they realised it was a burner.

The crew tweeted: ‘Rescue Pump mobilised to a fire Nessus Street, #Portsmouth – false alarm, caused by a chiminea.’
