A BRASS band is tuning up for a performance in aid of the RNLI.

The Royal British Legion Brass Band will stage the show in its club on Fratton Road to raise money for the lifeboat organisation.

There will be Christmas cards and other souvenirs from the charity on sale at the event.

Chairman of the RNLI fundraising group, Graham Jewell, said: ‘It’s going to be a great evening for all the family.’ It starts at 7.30pm on Thursday September 8. Tickets cost £4. Call (023) 92788 8593.
