TRIBUTES have been paid to a motorcyclist who was found dead by the side of a road.

Martin Robert Southwell was discovered on Newgate Lane at around 2.15pm on Thursday.

He appeared to have come off of his motorcycle as he left Fort Fareham Industrial Estate.

Mr Southwell’s son Rob said: ‘He will be greatly missed by his family and the local community.’

Mr Southwell, 58, from Andover was found unconscious by a member of the public. South Central Ambulance Service attended but was pronounced dead at the scene.

His motorcycle was found in the middle of the road. He was riding a black Triumph Rocket Roadster.
