TWO children and their parents have been taken to hospital after a fire at a flat in Cosham.

Firefighters were called to the property in Hawthorn Crescent at 5.23am today.

Two appliances from Cosham fire station and one from Havant attended the scene.

The fire was on the second floor in a low rise block of flats.

The two adults and two children were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham after suffering from smoke inhalation.

The family had all got out of the property before firefighters arrived.

It’s not yet known what caused the fire but an investigation is now being carried out.
