PEOPLE gathered to see plans to stop coastal flooding.

Yesterday, the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership (ESCP), on behalf of Fareham and Gosport Borough Council, consulted residents on a Coastal Management Strategy.

At Ferneham Hall, the plans were in place to show what the ESCP plans to do to stop coastal flooding and erosion in the area.

Couple Chris and Tony Hubbard, from central Fareham, found the plans interesting.

Chris said: ‘Even though the plans won’t affect us, it’s important for us to know what’s happening. It’s very interesting.’

Mark Stratton, project manager of the ESCP, added: ‘We wanted residents to see what is being planned to stop coastal flooding and give us feedback.’
