YOUNGSTERS have got a smart new set of wheels to get them around.

KIDS, a charity based in Fareham, won a brand new Seat Ibiza, after entering the competition run by local radio station Wave 105 and its Cash For Kids campaign.

KIDS, which supports more than 1,000 disabled children, young people and carers aged up to 25, in Hampshire, said it has already been finding the vehicle invaluable.

Fundraising manager Matthew Wilkinson said: ‘Someone told me that Wave was running this competition and we should put forward a pitch as to why we should get the car.

‘It was one of those things, I did the entry form on their website, pushed send, but thought there would be lots of competition for it so didn’t think too much more about it.

‘We were absolutely over the moon to hear we’d won. It’s £10,000 of brand new car and that makes a huge amount of difference to us.’

And with the charity’s logo displayed proudly on the side, it helps raise the charity’s profile.

The car was donated by the Snows Group, which has branches across the county.
