MEMBERS of a kindhearted flower club say they are delighted to present £700 to a charity close to their hearts.

The ladies from Fareham Flower Club raised more than £700 by selling posies from a stall last month in Fareham Shopping Centre.

The group sold 600 posies to raise funds for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, their chosen charity of the year.

The cheque is being presented to the charity at the club’s next meeting on Thursday, April 14 at Wallington Village Hall, in Broadcut, Fareham.

Sandy Mitchell, from the club, which meets on the second Thursday of the month, said they were ‘delighted’ with the amount raised.
