HOLLY wreaths and festive garlands helped to raise hundreds of pounds for two good causes.

Members of Fareham Flower Club, which meets on the second Thursday of every month at Wallington Village Hall, spent a day selling hand-made decorations from a stall in Fareham Shopping Centre.

All profits went to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Salvation Army.

Sandy Mitchell, from the horticultural group, said they were pleased to have raised £300.

She said: ‘We thought we would support the two charities as the air ambulance is such a good thing for the area and the Salvation Army helps local people and that’s what we wanted to support.

‘We were really pleased to be busy all day and we sold everything on offer.’
