A BEER festival will offer more than 30 ales and ciders over the weekend.

The Delme Arms, in Fareham, is hosting its first festival since landlord Neil Matthews took over last summer.

He is hoping the three-day festival, which started last night, will become an annual event.

The 47-year-old said: ‘This is the first one we have organised and I hope we can make it an annual thing.

‘We have 30 ales and seven ciders available plus a range of live music from folk to cover bands.

‘We wanted to do something for the community to enjoy.’

The beer festival will run until Sunday night at the pub on Cams Hill.
