HERSELF a former biker, the Mayoress of Fareham was in her element as she climbed on the back of a Harley Davidson, wearing a leather jacket and gloves, and her Mayoress chains.
The red and black bike Carole Steadman was sat on the back of then joined 16 others to drive through Fareham, as part of the Mayor’s Charity Festival.
The event, which took place at Fareham Town Football Club at Cams Alders on Saturday, also hosted a range of live music performances, followed by a barn dance.
And stalls and activities were on offer in a bid to boost the amount of cash raised for the Mayor’s chosen charity, Wessex Heartbeat.
The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Dennis Steadman said: ‘It went very well. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we were so glad the rain kept away for most of it.
‘But we couldn’t have done it without the help of others, especially the football club. I want to say a big thank you to everyone involved.’
