FAREHAM’S sensory garden in memory of Princess Diana and Holly Hill woodland park in Sarisbury Green have both retained the Green Flag award.

The national accolade shows visitors that the park is well maintained and managed, with excellent facilities.

Cllr Connie Hockley, who is in charge of leisure and community matters at the council, said: ‘Congratulations to all those officers and volunteers in Fareham who work tirelessly to ensure our borough remains at such a high award-winning standard.

‘I am delighted that both of these wonderful parks retain their Green Flags.’

The garden, in Osborn Road, and Holly Hill now have the chance to receive a further award, the People’s Choice Award.

This award is voted for by the public and votes can be registered online at greenflagaward.org
