Shoppers were evacuated from a supermarket in Fareham following a fire alarm.

The alarm was raised at the Asda supermarket, in Newgate Lane, Fareham, to test the store’s fire alarm system at lunchtime today.

Emergency procedures were followed and shoppers were evacuated.

The store reopened soon afterwards.
