A TALK on the Battle of the Somme during the First World War is to be held at a museum.

Rob Thrush will present a contemporary account and documents to tell the story of how the battle was planned to be fought and then discuss how the day and subsequent events turned out.

The event will be held at Westbury Manor Museum in West Street, Fareham, at 7pm on Tuesday.
