DONATIONS for flood victims in Cumbria and Lancashire are sought.

Freight company 2MV Logistics, in Farlington, will be taking up a haul of supplies for people whose homes were swamped during storms.

Graham Truckel, from the firm, said: ‘We are looking for items that are in a reasonable condition.’

Among the items needed are: clothing, blankets, batteries, torches, blankets for pets, non-perishable food, new underwear and footwear.

Items can be dropped off at Unit 4, in Walton Road, by next Wednesday.
