FARLINGTON’S annual music festival continues this weekend with a mixture of rock and classical music.

Tomorrow evening local five-piece rock band Dragonfly will play songs by artists such as Eric Clapton, Cream, Genesis and The Moody Blues at the Church of the Resurrection, in Penrhyn Avenue, Cosham, starting at 7.30pm.

On Sunday afternoon woodwind quintet Anemos will perform a programme of music by composers such as Rossini and Mortensen in the smaller St Andrew’s Church, in Havant Road, Farlington, at 3pm.

Last weekend audiences were entertained by the Maury Deans Big Band and a concert performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe, performed by Opera Comique.

Admission to all the festival concerts is by ticket in advance or £5 on the door. Tickets can be booked by phoning (023) 9242 1849.
