BAD weather and engine problems are causing delays to ferry services between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight today.

Due to ongoing engine problems, the 1.30pm St Cecilia ferry, from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, has been cancelled.

The 2.30pm Fishbourne to Portsmouth service will not be running either.

Wightlink says its other services are being delayed by 45 minutes due to high winds.

The Portsmouth to Ryde catamaran is running to schedule.

A Wightlink spokesman said: ‘Please accept our apologies for the delay to service, and passengers concerned about their sailings are advised to contact Wightlink reservations on 0871 376 1000.’
