COMMUTERS on yesterday’s Caen to Portsmouth ferry service were delayed for two-and-a-half hours after an elderly man was evacuated.

A spokesman for Britanny Ferries said the 79-year-old British male was taken off the 8.30am Mont St Michel ferry service for medical reasons.

He was taken to a hospital in the French town of Le Harve for treatment.
