EXCITEMENT is already building over a free two-day festival to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Yesterday The News revealed Britpop stars The Lightning Seeds will be the headline act at the Victorious Vintage festival.

Mark Morriss, former singer with The Bluetones, will also be performing, plus bands Dodgy and The Silver Beatles.

Local bands, afternoon tea, stalls and film screenings will also provide entertainment.

The event has been organised by the dockyard, Little Johnny Russell’s, Love Southsea and The Boutique Market.

The festival runs from 10am to 10pm – entrance is free for the festival, but standard ticket charges for dockyard attractions apply.

Yesterday The News incorrectly printed the dates of the festival.

It is actually being held on Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3 and not June 3 and June 4.
