THIS WEEK IN 1993: Portsmouth teenager killed in knife fight

Have your say

TWO fire crews were called to Camber Dock after the coastguard thought a boat was on fire.

One fire engine from Southsea, and a second from Cosham, were called to the Old Portsmouth dock on Saturday at 12.10pm.

Smoke was coming from a boat engine, which was out at sea.

The coastguard called the fire service, which was ready for the boat’s arrival.

Firefighters checked the boat and found there was no fire, on board or in the engine compartment. Engineers were called to check the vessel.
