Fire crews called out to two false alarms in blocks of flats

FIREFIGHTERS from Southsea were called out on two occasions when an alarm was accidentally set off.

The first call was to the Cumberland House flats, in Cumberland Street, Portsea. The call came in shortly after 2.20pm yesterday after the automatic fire alarm was triggered. Crews checked the scene was safe.

The second call was to Friendship House in Elm Grove, Southsea.

That call came in shortly after 5.30pm as an automatic fire alarm.

Again the scene was checked over by firefighters.
