TWO fire crews came to rescue a woman who was stuck in a lift in West Street, Fareham.

Firefighters from Fareham and Cosham attended the flats at 3.50pm yesterday.

The woman was rescued by 4.15pm.

Fire crews, from Fareham and Portchester, also rescued a man from a lift at the The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) in Portsdown Hill Road, Portchester, on Thursday at 6.15pm.

He was freed from the Ministry of Defence’s lift by 6.20pm.
