FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire that spread to the roof of a home in Southsea.

Three crews from Southsea were called to the blaze at a home in Telephone Road.

Watch manager Jason Boh said crews got to the scene quickly and there was no major damage.

He said: ‘There was a bit of burning in the roof space but we got to it quite quickly.’

No-one was hurt in the incident, which was reported shortly before 6.25pm on Saturday.
